We started our tour in Ethiopia, the country where coffee originated. The story goes that after his goats ate coffee berries, a herder named Kaldi noticed that they were especially active.
Ethiopian coffee is highly popular for its floral and fruity aromas, and brewing customs are deeply ingrained in the country’s culture.

70% of Ethiopia’s coffee is drunk locally. 
People there use earthen pots to make drinks and roast coffee beans by hand.
