The Wubanchi G1 Supernatural coffee beans are grown in Ethiopia’s high altitude coffee regions, in areas of Guji. These regions boast fertile volcanic soil, ample rainfall, and altitudes ranging from 1,800 to 2,200 meters above sea level, creating the ideal conditions for cultivating high quality Arabica coffee. The elevation contributes to slower cherry maturation, resulting in denser beans with complex flavours.

Processing:

Supernatural Method: The “Supernatural” in the name refers to an advanced natural (dry) processing method. The cherries are dried whole on raised African beds under the sun for 22 to 25 days. This process allows the beans to absorb the fruity sweetness of the cherry pulp, resulting in a cup with bold, wine-like flavours and a silky mouthfeel.

Flavour Profile:

Notes of tropical fruits complemented by berry tones together with a balanced acidity reminiscent of citrus adds brightness, while undertones of floral jasmine and dark chocolate provide depth. The aftertaste is long and syrupy, leaving a lingering sweetness.
